Brett Favre Early Career
Brett Favre was a man who loved football. Some people say all he did was wake up and think football.  Favre played for Southern Mississippi throughout his college career and was just a nobody.  He had a great arm, but there was one problem the coaches didn’t know if it would hit the receiver’s hands or someone in the stands.  The Falcons were the team to pick up Favre for his rookie year. Things didn’t start off so hot for Favre he only got to play a few snaps his rookie year and his first pass as a professional was thrown to the other team for a touchdown.  Besides his poor play, Favre liked to party nightly and often would show up hung over or late to team meetings.  He even missed a photo shoot with the team because he had been drinking the whole night before.  Favre didn’t stay there long, when the packers offered a first round pick for Brett Favre that was a done deal. A first round pick for a third-stringer who loved to party that was easy for the Falcons head coach at the time, Jerry Glanville.  The Falcons would soon regret the move and the Green Bay Packers reaped all the benefits in what turned out to be one of the biggest lopsided trades ever to be made in the history of the NFL. Favre got his first playing time when the starting quarterback went down and Favre lead the team to victory by throwing the game winning touchdown with 13 seconds remaining. Favre was done being on the sidelines after that he was ready to be the Packers hero that they were in search for. Favre went on to start the next game and did not miss a start for his team for the next 15 year period. That is what Favre’s early career mainly consisted of.
