Brett Favre Toughness
A quarterback can only be great if he can be on the field to perform. Brett Favre had no problem with this. He has now started a National Football League record 283 consecutive games. People can teach a guy how to throw or how to read defensive coverage’s, but nobody can teach toughness and that is what Brett Favre has. This is really an amazing record considering how violent the game of football is and how many hits a quarterback takes each game. Being able to withstand play after play, game after game and season after season of enormous men continuously trying to crush you is quite the feat. Only one man can say that they have been out of the football field with their teammates more times in a row than anyone else in the history of NFL and that is Brett Favre.

Brett Favre has not only shown his toughness during his professional career, but also in his college career as well. Weeks before his senior season at Southern Mississippi, Brett was injured in a nasty car wreck. Brett suffered some pretty serious injuries to his mid-section and doctors were forced to remove thirty inches of his small intestine. Though the prognosis did not look good, Brett was back on the field just three weeks later to lead his team to an upset win over Alabama. It takes a special kind of competitor and a special kind of toughness to overcome an injury like this in such a short time. Being tough is just one of the many things that make Brett Favre one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time.
